Ginny Simonds

Ginny Simonds is a pianist who, after many years of performing and teaching classical music, has discovered a passion for jazz and particularly Brazilian jazz. Ginny lived in Brazil for four years as a child and plays Brazilian rhythms as only one who has internalized them as a child can.  She has returned for extended visits where she reconnected with the rich culture and beautiful melodies and rhythms.  Her innate understanding of the language and percussion training bring a truly genuine sound to her performances.
