Angel Araos

Angel Araos (Angel pronounced AN-hell) is a Chilean-born percussionist whose career has spanned classical, jazz, folk, Brazilian and Cuban music. He has performed widely in Canada and South America with numerous ensembles, winning a Juno award in the World Music category as a member of the group Ancient Cultures. Angel’s professional training and deep rhythmic sense excites and captivates the listener from the first moment he plays. His versatility across world rhythms immediately elevates the range, level, and creativity of any ensemble he is a member of.
